Job Description:

Job Summary:
The Business Development Head is responsible for driving business growth and expansion initiatives for
the organization primarily within the US and Canada market. This role primarily focuses on identifying
new business opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships to achieve revenue targets across
business verticals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
 Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve
revenue goals.
 Collaborate with the management and marketing teams to devise go-to-market strategies.
 Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis, competitive intelligence,
and industry best practices.
 Monitor and evaluate the performance of business development initiatives, adjusting
strategies as needed to optimize results.
2. Business Development:
 Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the US, Canada market with key focus
on small and medium businesses, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and new
product/service offerings.
 Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, competitive
landscape, and customer needs.
 Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the company's
presence in the US.
 Ensure BD goals and targets for various verticals are met and exceeded.
 Present performance for the BD team/s for various verticals to the senior leadership
3. Cross Functional Collaboration:
 Work closely with internal teams, including BU Heads, marketing, product development, and
operations, to align business development efforts with organizational goals.
 Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure seamless execution of key account
strategies and deliverables.
 Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams to drive innovation and
continuous improvement.
4. Leadership and Team Management:
 Lead a team of business development and data research professionals, providing guidance,
coaching, and mentorship to foster their professional growth and development.
 Provide regular performance feedback and coaching to ensure team targets are met. Set
clear goals and performance metrics for the team, monitoring progress and providing
regular feedback.
 Ensure the team is trained in essential competencies and tools.

 Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the business
development function.
 Explore new tools such as AI etc within the BD team purview to ensure organization stays
ahead of the curve in the BD function
 Drive efficiency and effectiveness in the BD team to ensure better performance year on year
Qualifications and Skills:
 Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
 Proven 15+ years of experience in international business development and key account
management, with a focus on the US market.
 Strong understanding of sales strategies, negotiation techniques, and business development
principles.
 Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
 Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
 Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
