Job Description:

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Operation Manager to lead our manufacturing operations
for telescopic steel channels and heavy-duty channels. The ideal candidate will bring strong
hands-on experience from the roll forming, steel fabrication, or heavy engineering industry,
with a proven track record of driving production efficiency, quality, and team performance on
the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, schedule, and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets for telescopic
and heavy-duty channel manufacturing lines.
• Lead and manage complete shop floor operations, including roll forming, fabrication,
welding, and finishing processes.

• Allocate manpower, machines, and materials to ensure optimum productivity and on-
time dispatch.

• Coordinate closely with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, and Dispatch
teams for smooth end-to-end operations.
• Monitor and improve key production metrics such as OEE, machine utilization,
downtime, and output yield.
• Ensure product quality by controlling dimensions, thickness, twist, bow, and profile
accuracy as per specifications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, Kaizen,
and waste/scrap reduction.
• Minimize rejection, rework, and production costs while improving overall equipment
and manpower efficiency.

• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to ensure machine reliability, uptime,
and workplace safety.
• Prepare and present daily/weekly production reports, KPIs, and management
dashboards.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate production supervisors and shop floor staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company quality
systems.
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong background in Production Planning & Control (PPC) for steel / metal
manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in Roll Forming, Telescopic Channel, or Heavy-Duty Channel
manufacturing preferred.
• Sound working knowledge of Steel Fabrication, Sheet Metal, or Heavy Engineering
industry processes.
• Practical exposure to OEE, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and structured problem-solving (8D).
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and advanced MS Excel for production reporting.
• Strong manpower handling, shop floor leadership, and decision-making ability.
• Good communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
Eligibility
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (preferred);
equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a production management role, preferably in
telescopic channel, roll forming, steel fabrication, or heavy engineering manufacturing.
