Job Description:

Role Purpose
The Export Manager will be responsible for driving international business growth by
developing new export markets, managing global customer relationships, appointing
distributors, and achieving export sales targets. The role requires strong commercial
acumen, market development expertise, and hands-on experience in export operations
and international trade.
The ideal candidate should have proven FMCG export sales experience, a strong
understanding of global markets, and the ability to independently manage the complete
export sales cycle from lead generation to order execution.

Key Responsibilities
1. International Business Development
• Identify and develop new export markets for company products.
• Generate leads and acquire new international customers, distributors, and
importers.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with overseas buyers.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual export sales targets.
• Drive revenue growth through strategic market expansion initiatives.
2. Market Expansion & Strategy
• Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities in international
markets.
• Analyze competitor activities, pricing, product positioning, and market trends.
• Develop and execute market entry strategies for new geographies.
• Monitor global demand patterns and customer preferences.

3. Distributor & Customer Management
• Appoint, manage, and support distributors, importers, and channel partners.
• Maintain strong relationships with key international customers.
• Handle commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business generation.
4. Export Documentation & Logistics Coordination
• Manage export documentation including:
o Commercial Invoice
o Packing List
o Certificate of Origin
o Bill of Lading
o Health Certificates
o Other statutory export documents
• Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics partners.
• Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of export orders.
5. Pricing & Commercial Management
• Prepare export quotations and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contractual agreements with customers.
• Monitor profitability and margins across export accounts.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities for export business.
6. Trade Shows & Business Promotion
• Participate in international trade fairs, exhibitions, buyer-seller meets, and virtual
business meetings.
• Represent the company in export promotion activities and international business
forums.
• Develop opportunities through networking and relationship building.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Finance, and
Regulatory teams.

• Ensure smooth order execution and customer servicing.
• Resolve customer concerns and operational challenges promptly.

Required Experience
• 4–5 years of experience in Export Sales or International Business within FMCG,
Food Processing, Frozen Foods, Snacks, Beverages, Dairy Products, Consumer
Goods, or related sectors.
• Proven experience in handling international customers and export business
operations.
• Strong knowledge of export documentation, logistics, shipping procedures, and
international trade regulations.
• Experience in developing new export markets and managing overseas
distributors.
• Understanding of international business practices and commercial negotiations.

Preferred Markets Exposure
• Experience in handling international customers, distributors, importers,
wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts across global markets.
• Exposure to export business in FMCG, Food Processing, Beverages, Snacks,
Frozen Foods, Dairy Products, Ready-to-Eat (RTE), Ready-to-Cook (RTC),
Consumer Goods, or related industries.
• Experience in managing export sales across multiple international markets will
be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of international trade practices, export regulations,
logistics, documentation, and customer requirements.
• Ability to identify new business opportunities, develop new markets, appoint
distributors, and drive sustainable export growth.
• Experience participating in international trade fairs, buyer-seller meets, and
export promotion activities.
• Knowledge of pricing strategies, commercial negotiations, and export
profitability management.

• Existing network of international buyers, distributors, importers, and channel
partners will be preferred.
