Java Backend Developer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using
modern Java for a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs and gRPC services with clear
documentation and high performance.
• Microservices & Distributed Systems: Develop and support microservices and event-driven
architectures using frameworks such as Spring Boot and Quarkus.
• Database Management: Work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL
databases (Cassandra, Redis) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Cloud & Containerization: Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms (AWS / GCP /
Azure) using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze performance bottlenecks, optimize queries, and
implement caching strategies (Redis, Memcached).
• Security Best Practices: Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth,
JWT) and follow data security best practices.

• Collaboration: Work closely with frontend, DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver high-
quality end-to-end features.

• Monitoring & Support: Assist in setting up logging, monitoring, and alerting using tools like
Prometheus and Grafana.
• Code Quality: Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes to ensure
maintainable and reliable code.
Added Advantage
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of ReactJS will be an added advantagSe.

Qualifications
• 5-8 years of experience in Java backend development, preferably in SaaS or product-based
environments.
• Strong experience in REST API development; working knowledge of gRPC is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and message brokers such as Kafka or
RabbitMQ.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design and query
optimization.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container technologies (Docker,
Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and basic DevOps practices.
• Good problem-solving skills with an eye for clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
