Audit Executive

Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Audit Executive will assist in the planning, execution, and completion of internal audit assignments to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. The role ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting internal audits and operational reviews as per the annual audit plan.

• Evaluate business processes, internal controls, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Identify areas of control weaknesses, operational inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.

• Prepare audit work papers, document audit findings, and support conclusions with evidence.

• Prepare draft audit reports and present findings to the Audit Manager or department head.

• Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.

• Assist in risk assessments and development of the audit plan.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies and relevant regulations.

• Support external audits or regulatory inspections as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent (preferred or in progress).

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in internal or external audit.

• Knowledge of audit methodologies, risk management, and internal control systems.

• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of audit tools/software is an advantage.
