Principal Electrical Designer - Vadodara

Job Description:

I. Broad Function:
Lead and support the Electrical Design team for industrial and wastewater projects
by delivering high-quality electrical design packages, ensuring compliance with
NEC, NFPA, UL, and OSHA standards. Provide technical leadership, cross-discipline
coordination, and mentorship to ensure timely, accurate, and safe design execution.
II. Qualification Requirements:  Bachelors in Electrical Engineering.  Minimum 5-10 years of experience in electrical design for industrial or wastewater
facilities.  Strong knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, UL508A, IEEE, ISA, and OSHA
standards.  Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical, and Vault Professional.  Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com, SharePoint, and
MS Project/Planner.  Certification in Arc-Flash Safety and Hazardous Area Design preferred.  NICET certification desirable; PE license advantageous.  Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
III. Principal Responsibilities:  Lead and review all electrical design deliverables, including SLDs, wiring diagrams,
schematics, and layouts.  Design and specify low-voltage systems (<600V), motor control,
grounding/bonding, surge protection, and standby power systems.  Support design for Class I Div 1/2 and Zone 1/2 hazardous areas per NEC and
NFPA standards.  Coordinate with mechanical, structural, and process disciplines to ensure design
integration.  Oversee QA/QC, design validation, and final documentation within Autodesk Vault
workflows.  Supervise and mentor junior designers in design standards and best practices.  Collaborate with vendors and clients for requirements clarification and technical
reviews.  Prepare load, short-circuit, voltage drop, and arc-flash studies as needed.  Support commissioning and troubleshooting of modular skid-based systems (e.g.,
UV, EQ, MEMPAC).
