Manager – US Taxation

Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic Manager Lead who combines expertise in individual and business tax reviews with exceptional team management skills. This role involves overseeing the preparation and review of complex tax returns while managing a team of tax professionals. Your leadership will ensure the highest quality of tax services and foster a collaborative team environment

Roles and responsibility:

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

• Oversee the preparation and review of individual Tax form (Form 1040)

• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring their development and performance.

• Coordinate workload distribution, ensuring timely completion of tasks and compliance with tax laws.

• Serve as the primary contact for escalated client issues and complex tax matters, including international tax filings.

• Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to benefit clients.

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and ensure the team is informed and compliant.

• Collaborate with the Team Lead/Managers to set departmental goals and objectives.

• Assist in recruitment, training, and evaluation of tax staff.

• Minimum of 6 years of progressive tax experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

• Extensive experience with individual and business tax forms, including international tax components.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Proficiency in tax software and advanced Excel skills.

• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Desired skill set:

• Strong knowledge of US tax laws (individual and business tax), including IRS regulations and state taxation.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Enrolled Agent (EA) certification preferred; CPA or other tax certifications will also be considered.
