Role Overview

We are looking for a strategic and execution-driven Category Manager who can own category growth, marketplace strategy, and product positioning with a strong understanding of the beauty category.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Category Strategy & P&L Ownership
  • Own full P&L including revenue, margins & profitability
  • Drive short-term & long-term growth strategies
  • Manage pricing, promotions & monetization
  1. Assortment, Category & Market Understanding
  • Build assortment strategy across SKUs
  • Strong understanding of beauty category, products & market size
  • Identify gaps & expand into new subcategories
  1. Marketplace Strategy
  • Define and execute marketplace growth strategy across platforms
  • Optimize visibility, rankings & category performance
  • Align with marketing for campaigns & promotions
  1. Vendor Management & Partnerships
  • Onboard and manage brand/vendor relationships
  • Negotiate commercials, margins & business plans
  1. Packaging & Visual Design Input
  • Work closely with design teams on packaging & product visuals
  • Ensure strong brand aesthetics and shelf appeal
  • Provide inputs on creative direction for better conversion
  1. Business Growth & Conversion
  • Drive GMV via pricing, discoverability & availability
  • Improve conversion, user journey & repeat rates
  1. Operations, Planning & Forecasting
  • Collaborate with supply chain for inventory & demand planning
  • Reduce OOS and improve fill rates
  • Track dashboards & performance metrics
  1. Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work with marketing, product, finance & supply teams
  • Drive business reviews & growth initiatives

Requirements

  • 4–6 years in E-commerce / D2C / Category Management
  • Strong understanding of beauty products & category trends
  • Experience in marketplace strategy & growth
  • Good sense of packaging, design & brand aesthetics
  • Strong analytical & stakeholder management skills
