Designation: Vertical Head – Sales & Business Development
Vertical Focus: Extra High Voltage (EHV) Solutions
Location: Vadodara / Regional Hub
Responsibility : Gujarat
Reporting to: Director

1. ROLE OBJECTIVE
The Vertical Head will be responsible for the strategic leadership, business growth, and P&L
management of the GE Vernova EHV Vertical. As an authorized partner of GE Vernova, KKEC aims
to dominate the high-voltage switchgear and grid solutions market. This role requires a high-caliber
professional capable of navigating complex utility tenders and building long-term institutional
partnerships.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Market Leadership
 Growth Roadmap: Design and implement a 3-year strategic plan to scale the EHV business.
 Principal Relations: Act as the key point of contact for GE Vernova leadership to ensure
seamless support in pricing, supply chain, and technical training.
 Market Intelligence: Analyze competitor movements and government policy shifts in the
Power & Energy sector.
Sales & Business Development
 Project Acquisition: Identify and close multi-crore opportunities in GIS (Gas Insulated
Switchgear), AIS, and Power Transformers.
 Stakeholder Engagement: Build and leverage relationships with decision-makers in PGCIL,
State Transcos (e.g., GETCO), and private IPPs.
 EPC Management: Collaborate with major EPC firms like L&T, KEC International, and Tata
Power to position GE Vernova products in their project bids.
Operational & Technical Oversight
 Bid Strategy: Lead the techno-commercial team in preparing high-quality, compliant tender
responses.

 Solution Architecture: Ensure proposed solutions meet the rigorous grid stability and technical
requirements of EHV projects (up to 765kV).
Criteria Specification
Academic Background B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (MBA preferred)
Professional Experience 15+ years in Electrical Power; Min. 5-7 years in EHV sales
Technical Knowledge Deep expertise in EHV Switchgear, Transformers, and Protection
Network Pre-existing relationships with Central/State Utilities & Consultants
Leadership Proven track record of managing high-performance sales teams

4. CORE COMPETENCIES
 Entrepreneurial Drive: Ability to take full ownership of the vertical’s performance.
 Negotiation Excellence: Skilled in navigating high-stakes, long-cycle commercial negotiations.
 Strategic Vision: Capable of identifying future energy trends (Renewable integration, Grid
modernization).
 Projects : Entering into Projects (Supply, Erection, Testing & Commissioning) under GE
Vernova Vertical
 ARC Strategy : Taking Lead and Ensuring ARC of Spares and Services with Required Stake-
holders.
