Job Summary:
The Purchase Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials, chemicals, equipment, and services essential for specialty chemical manufacturing. This role ensures cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in a specialty chemical or manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of chemical regulations, import/export compliance, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally ERP.
• Ability to manage multiple procurement tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing setup.

Key Responsibilities:
• Procurement Planning: Identify and assess suppliers for specialty chemicals and manufacturing equipment.
• Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers to ensure timely and quality material supply.
• Cost Optimization: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to achieve cost efficiency without compromising quality.
• Compliance & Quality: Ensure procurement aligns with industry standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with inventory management teams to avoid shortages or overstocking of critical raw materials.
• Purchase Order Processing: Generate and manage purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and timely approvals.
• Market & Price Analysis: Monitor market trends and price fluctuations of specialty chemicals to optimize purchasing decisions.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain updated procurement records, contracts, supplier agreements, and purchase logs.
• Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
